About ECAD Library Engineer

  Overview

  ECAD Library Engineer (ATG-2024-19970):

  Bowhead seeks an ECAD Library Engineer with Electronic Computer-aided Design (ECAD) librarian skills who will work as part of a multi-disciplined team generating solutions for Department of Defense and other government customers. The team’s focus is on designing, analyzing, documenting, testing and delivering innovative prototypes in the energetics and weapon systems domain.

  Responsibilities

  Work closely with government designers to create and standardize schematic symbols and PCB component footprints for the ECAD library.

  Manage the library change control process.

  Publish library parts to the design community.

  Review, analyze, and update existing PCB layouts to improve clarity and producibility.

  Serve as the library SME in design and manufacturability reviews with government, academia, and contractor teammates.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited college or experience working with a team of PCB designers.

  Demonstrated proficiency with Altium Designer ECAD software.

  At least 3 years CAD library creation using Altium tools.

  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

  Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

  Experience with mechanical engineering drawings. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is desired.

  PCB manufacturing and machine shop experience is desired.

  Physical Demands:

  Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds

  Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

  SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
