We are looking for a Director of Supply Planning to join the Integrated Supply Planning (ISP) team. The role will be responsible for managing inventory end to end, developing and deploying inventory strategies, policies, processes and governance mechanisms to minimize write-offs and excess & obsolescence. The role will enable visibility of Inventory excess at different nodes to influence demand and supply shaping options by driving consensus through IBP process. This role requires engagement with Planning, Sourcing, Operations, IBP and Finance teams as appropriate to ensure the inventory policies and process are aligned and executed. The candidate should be motivated to work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive process improvement, and long for the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead a Planning team with the mission to lead the world’s cloud experience through optimal, predictable, and connected planning.
Partner with the Director of Supply Planning to enable measurable results aligned with the broader Planning organizational strategy
Grow and develop a team managing and delivering success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring
Run current business while ensuring new process design is under way to support simplification and consolidation to articulate the appropriate model and design that fits industry best practices
Work with Planning and other supply chain teams to manage product transitions in order to minimize risk of E&O and aging inventory
Define specific inventory targets (in conjunction with Component Planning) and strategies based on historical usage, forecast volatility and define associated financial risk/liability
Perform scenario analysis to understand inventory impact of component shortages, demand upside/downside, etc. to Supply Plan of Record
Establish measurable KPIs and metrics to enable inventory management
Partner with systems engineering teams to develop automation roadmap to support increasing scale and complexity related to inventory management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 10+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 8+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
OR equivalent experience
10+ years inventory management experience
3+ Years people management, showcasing the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
Cloud/Hyperscale Supply Chain Experience
Experience in the High-Tech industry
Possess business acumen, able to think and plan strategically.
Proficient Verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Able to summarize complex concepts to engage with broader audiences.

Supply Planning M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
