Job Summary: The Director, Regional Sales for theDealer Channel is responsible for leading and directing the sales teamto achieve short and long-range strategic objectives through successfulplanning and execution of sales strategies for the Dealer Channel andassigned region. The Director, Regional Sales is responsible for theentire range of sales planning and development, sales promotion, andsales activities. This role drives market/field/end user input back tothe organization to improve positioning with programs, productdevelopment, and end user support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Designs and directs the work of the functional area. Selects, coachesand develops the team, setting objectives that align with companystrategy to inspire and motivate the team. Manages organizational talentthrough performance management, succession planning and development.Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performanceare recognized, feedback is consistently delivered and performance issystematically improved. Drives the market/field/end user input back tothe Generac organization to improve positioning with programs, productdevelopment and end user support. Establishes and implements short- andlong-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.Achieves margin objectives, by providing input on pricing strategy forall products and markets with the goal of achieving margin objectivesestablished. Tracks specific customer profitability, promotionalallowances and terms to meet the company\'s objectives. Grows sales ofexisting and new products through strengthened account relationships,including penetration into customers\' management and executive levels.Works with Marketing teams to integrate the market developmentstrategies into overall marketing and branding strategies andactivities.
