We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Partnerships and Business Development Director to join our team. As the key driver of strategic alliances and digital business growth, you will be responsible for driving and growing the inorganic opportunities (partnerships and M&A) that fit the innovation and growth strategy of the Grooming & Beauty business portfolio. You will help to deliver the inorganic strategy and roadmap as part of the business’ strategies and lead the various partnership and M&A opportunities, including building the partnership relationship, identifying the governance structure, internal stakeholders and team set up and potential agreements & contracts. You will collaborate closely with the business owners and marketing directors/managers, translating the partnership opportunities into business opportunities. You will closely work with the business marketing teams to develop the proposition and bring the concept from idea to market, ensuring good collaboration with the partner.
The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in building and nurturing partnerships, driving business development initiatives in digital channels, and has a deep understanding of the personal care industry.
Your role:
Strategic Partnerships:
Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic partnerships that align with G&B’s business objectives and values.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in existing partnerships, ensuring mutual growth and success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop joint business plans and go-to-market strategies with partners. Join Value proposition creation in collaboration with partners.
Business Development in Digital Channels:
Drive revenue growth through innovative digital initiatives, including but not limited to e-commerce platforms, digital marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer channels.
Work closely with the business owners and consumer marketing teams and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
Work closely with Open Innovation team to identify and unlock new opportunities.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Conduct negotiations with potential partners
Develop and manage partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Identify which contracts and agreements are needed and discuss business principles with the partner in order to establish the relevant agreements. In close collaboration with our legal and IP department.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of partnerships into the overall business strategy.
Provide leadership and guidance to internal teams involved in executing partnership initiatives.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnerships and digital business development initiatives.
Regularly report on the performance of partnerships, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in partnerships, business development, or a related role, with a focus on digital channels.
Strong understanding of the personal care industry and digital landscape.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
