About Director of Application Development

  Overview:

  We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Director/Senior Director of Application Development. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading and managing global application development teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technology trends, a strong background in software development, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence in application development on a global scale.

  Responsibilities:

  Leadership and Strategy:

  Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of application developers, architects, and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  Develop and execute a comprehensive global application development strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of applications.

  Technology Leadership:

  Drive technological advancements by evaluating emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions, and implementing best practices in software development methodologies.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement architectural standards and ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.

  Global Project Management:

  Oversee the execution of complex projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality assurance, and efficient resource allocation across global teams.

  Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  Collaboration and Communication:

  Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to understand business needs and drive alignment between technology solutions and business goals.

  Communicate effectively across geographically dispersed teams, ensuring clear understanding of objectives, priorities, and expectations.

  Talent Development and Recruitment:

  Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent, nurturing a high-performance culture and providing opportunities for skill development and career growth.

  Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred

  Proven experience (7+ years) in a leadership role overseeing global application development teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  Proven success in Staffing and/or HR services Industry is preferred

  Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, architecture, and emerging technologies

  Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions

  Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  Global mindset with experience working in diverse cultural and geographical environments

  SaaS architecture, application integrations and support preferred

  Proficiency with Microsoft, Azure, Power BI and/or Salesforce preferred

  Onshore + Offshore resource management experience preferred
