Job Description
Position Overview
As a Director, Finance & Capital Markets, you will manage keylender/investor relationships, oversee complex financial models foroperating and in construction renewable energy projects, supporttransaction closings/fundings, and support compliance with covenants infinance documents. You will work closely with other teams withinInvenergy, including Renewable Development, Project Management, AssetManagement, Accounting, Tax, and Legal. This position is located at ourcorporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
Responsibilities
Manage project financial models to analyze project level performanceand valuation of operating wind, solar, and storage projects of taxequity partnership restructurings, project debt refinancings,membership interest acquisitions, and asset divestituresOversee junior team members on financial analysis and compliancewith project finance requirements during project construction, termconversion, equity funding, and operationsManage and enhance key lender/investor relationshipsInterpret offtake agreements, shareholder and partnershipagreements, equipment and service contracts, real estate documents,and other contracts to identify issues that may impact project leveland corporate level financingCollaborate with company engineers, developers, asset managers,accounting, tax, legal, etc. professionals as well as third partyconsultants when managing financial transactionsSupport corporate finance activities, including cash management andcompliance with corporate loan facilitiesRequired Skills
Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or engineering. MBA, CFA,or similar advanced degree preferred.Minimum 8+ years of relevant project finance or corporate financeexperience, particularly in the power sector.Demonstrated experience and ability to develop financial analysis incomplex project financing models in Excel.Ability to oversee, analyze, and direct junior finance staff inmodeling financial transactionsAwareness of key issues in the broader renewable energy industry andwithin Invenergy, as well as the potential impacts these trends mayhave on projects.Proven ability to negotiate and interpret financing agreements andother project agreements.Understanding of tax incentivized financings, tax-equityinvestments, and partnership tax principles is preferred.Excellent discretion in handling confidential information and incommunicating with third parties.Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability toconcisely present information to senior management and third-partieson complex financial transactions.Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to think quicklyand implement creative solutions when problem solving.Proven ability to handle high-pressure, time-sensitive deadlinestypical of a transaction-based environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel,PowerPoint and Word.Benefits
