ResponsibilitiesThe Business Director is responsible for providing leadership and support for Perioperative and Procedural Services, managing processes related to financial & strategic planning, and process improvement activities. This position will oversee all internal initiatives such as OR scheduling team management, block scheduling management, OR utilization, timely processing of OR patient billing, maintaining OR activity statistics and processing of surgical instruments and equipment at main campus and ASCs. Responsible for organizing and assisting in the direction and control of the financial activities of perioperative services in conjunction with the VP of Perioperative and Procedural Services. Compiles and administers the annual capital budget with the assistance of the Vice President and Surgical Services management team. Facilitates equipment and supply purchases, maintains service contracts, develops supply contracts and prepares the annual operational budget with the assistance of Surgical Services management. Directs and supervises the activities of the inventory coordinators. Reviews and reports monthly fiscal reports. Provides the management team with support regarding purchases, supply changes, implementation of new items, trouble-shooting supply issues, etc. Participates in the multidisciplinary committee activities as assigned. The position works in collaboration with each of the hospitals' Service Line Administrators, Nursing Director, Surgical Director/Chair of surgery & Anesthesiology and Supply Chain, Sterile Processing, Patient Access, and Finance for operational related and strategic planning and process improvement. Additionally, working in collaboration with surgery service line administration to support business decisions related to access, scheduling, block allocation and utilization.The Business Director will also serve as a key member of the Perioperative Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the oversight of process improvement initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations in collaboration with Nursing and Surgical Leadership and other key stakeholders in Anesthesia and Surgery Departments. The Business Director will be responsible to lead performance improvement projects that would include tracking key performance indicators within the Perioperative departments and developing reports and dashboards to support daily business operations. Moreover, the Business Director in collaboration with the OR Executive Committee and Leadership will develop implement and monitor policies and procedures to improve utilization and efficiency.#LI-MR2RequirementsRequired Education/Experience:MHA, MBA, or equivalent with financial expertise.Seven (7) years experience and understanding of business systems in a health care setting.Five (5) years experience in analyzing, interpreting clinical or financial data to create, develop, and integrate information into presentations and visual systems for decision making.Five (5) years of leadership experience, including direct supervision of staff.Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial analysis and/or strategic planning.Demonstrated ability to lead in an environment of rapid change.Experience with statistical analysis.Required Credentials:N/APreferred:Hospital financial management/analysis.Data analysis and 'storytelling' with data.Program-based analysis.Previous experience in perioperative services.Min to Max Hourly Salary$65.10 - $97.65 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$135,403.00 - $203,104.00 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
