As a Starbucks Market Research & Insights director, you will inspire teams and leaders to take action and make decisions by serving as the champion of our Customers and Partners (employees). You will lead a team of consumer insights professionals in the application of research methods, analytics and synthesis to build compelling, persuasive cases for action. You will help others translate business questions into research objectives and, in turn, into studies and learning plans. You will serve as a thought leader and consultant across a wide variety of teams, spanning—among others—marketing, creative studio, loyalty and digital while influencing decisions at the highest levels of the company.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
Lead and develop a team of Market Research & Insights professionals
Collaborate with business partners and team members to translate business questions into research designs, analytics plans and customized reports
Innovate Starbucks research approaches to add value and incremental research capabilities to an already robust toolkit
Serve as an influencer with executive leaders, representing the voice of our Customers through compelling storytelling
Serve as an evangelist for the insights Market Research & Insights Team, building strong relationships and trust in your team and its capabilities
We’d love to hear from people with:
Expertise in experimental research design
Strong knowledge and experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Strong knowledge of statistics (descriptive and inferential) and their use in quantitative research methods
Deep experience with both custom research in support of innovation and renovation initiatives, as well as longitudinal, tracking programs (such as Brand Equity Measurement, Employee Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction studies, etc)
Compelling, persuasive oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
Proficiency with SPSS, Desktop Reporter and other statistical software packages with the ability to direct others in their use & application
Market Research & Insights experience in CPG or Retail
The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
If you live in the greater Seattle area, we offer a flexible workplace that allows for hybrid work. Partners can work remotely up to two days per week.
