The Database Operations Engineer will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day operation of various SaaS delivery environments. You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of database layer of Acumatica Cloud ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain and support SQL Servers and databases Production and non-Production environments: ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.

• Configure and perform backup, restore, and data migration tasks.

• Day-to-day monitoring of the production service delivery environment databases, identify optimization opportunities and solve problems related to it.

• Operate and maintain systems supporting the provisioning of new customers, applications, and features.

• Participate in the software design and development process to ensure maximum operational efficiency and architecture services, assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.

• Provide level 2/3 support for customer-initiated issues as well as 24x7 support for critical production systems.

• Identify systems deficiencies and recommend solutions.

• Knowledge Base updates, document forecasts, plans, and resolutions for on-going and future reference. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

• Provide insight on trends requiring proactive action to stay “one step ahead” of customers and/or upcoming corporate requirements.

• Innovate, promote and drive adoption of tools, technologies, policies, and procedures in support of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

o 3+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Server DBA or similar role

o 2+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)

o 3+ years of experience with backups, restores, and recovery models

o 2+ years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for PostgreSQL Server

o 1+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory

o 3+ years of corporate infrastructure experience preferably in a SaaS Operations environment

o 2+ years of experience with deploying and managing virtualized infrastructure

o 2+ years of experience with AWS / Azure (he is fine with GCP or Oracle Cloud if this person is experienced)

o 3+ years of experience in scripting and programming (Python, PowerShell)

o MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus

Will be plus:

Experience with MS-SQL Administration

ERP, Accounting, and other business management software

Automation using VB, PowerShell, or a similar scripting technology

Deploying managing and virtualized infrastructure
