　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKEmployees in this class provide a full range of social and case management services to children, youth and their families, to assist them in attending a more satisfactory social, economic, emotional or physical adjustment.  An important aspect of this work is the employment of casework skills in obtaining essential information, counseling clients and members of their families, and helping them utilize all available resources.

　　Newly hired Children & Youth Caseworkers work under the general supervision of a Casework Supervisor for a 6-month probationary period and complete training consisting of both classroom and fieldwork.

　　Work Schedule and Additional Information:

　　Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

　　Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; orSuccessful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; orA bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; orA bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.Other Requirements:is currently waived for this title.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:
