About the Role & Program
The Enterprise Social Responsibility (ESR) Marketing and Communications (MarComms) team is responsible for growing the visibility of Disney’s social impact initiatives internally and externally. As a member of this team, you will help to support marketing and communications initiatives connected to ESR signature programs including cross-company umbrella marketing campaigns, high-profile Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activations across business segments and geographical regions, and ongoing social responsibility storytelling. In this role, you will report to the Corporate Social Responsibility Marketing and Communications Manager.
What You Will Do
The intern will be responsible for supporting campaign operations, and tracking and collecting metrics for ESR’s MarComms efforts across digital, broadcast and social media platforms. Throughout the internship, you will have the opportunity to be included in meetings with communicators and social responsibility professionals across Disney and its businesses, learning first-hand about Disney’s social responsibility and impact programs as well as how to develop impactful communications and campaigns that resonate with audiences. You’ll be an active collaborator and a welcome voice in team discussions and ideation!
Required Qualifications & Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Empathetic with a curiosity for social responsibility and social impact
A dedicated and collaborative teammate.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties
A hunger to learn and observe, and an attention to detail
Education
A junior, senior or recent graduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences or a related fieldEligibility Requirements & Program Information
Enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 - January 2025
Candidate should be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
This internship is a primarily on-site position -- Required to provide own housing and reliable transportation for work in the Burbank, California area.
The pay rate for this internship in California is $21.70 per hour.
