Job Summary

Marketing Events Manager will have responsibility for planning, management and execution of industry tradeshows and customer events (in-person and virtual) that support the sales strategy for the Commercial Bank. Oversee multiple conferences at a time, manage numerous deadlines and orchestrate the activities of several different teams of colleagues. This position will report to the Relationship Segments Marketing Director and align closely with cross-functional marketing partners.

Marketing Events Manager responsibilities and duties:

Tradeshow marketing:

Align with sales teams on strategy and support full execution of all tradeshow activity. Includes: planning, execution, collateral support, budget and forecast management, leads management

Work with internal creative team on development of support materials from inception through approvals: collateral, invitations, etc.

Manage vendor relationship with tradeshow materials company

Optimize tradeshow involvement and spend

Optimize lead management process

Customer Events management:

Manage all aspects of customer events that align with the Commercial segment

Engage with clients and attendees to ensure all their needs are met

Act as a brand ambassador to ensure Huntington is relevant and all materials follow brand guidelines

Manage budgets for each project/event

Manage contracts through negotiation and sourcing approval process as needed.

Demonstrate discretion, judgment, initiative- must be able to work independently when needed

Handle multiple projects and short timeframes, meet deadlines, collaborate with business partners

Provide a post-event analysis on a consistent basis to help improve future events

Work closely with internal teams, security, administration, brand and communications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or additional experience in Lieu of Education

5+ years minimum of experience in meeting and event planning.

Other:

Working out of office hours e.g. evenings and weekends for events

Some travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

BA in communication, marketing, hospitality management or related field

Financial services experience

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to problem solve in the moment

Ability to work with executive leadership

Provide outstanding customer service

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
