Review internal social media channels to identify story opportunities for sustainability related activities at our various site locations. The Copy Writer will research information on the activity by contacting the employee who posted the activity and then write a short magazine/newspaper style article (generally 3- 4 paragraphs). The Copy Writer will create and maintain a database of local media outlets in each region and submit stories in a press release format for potential print coverage. The Copy Writer will also be in the primary contact for regional site locations to submit stories to for content creation. Expected 10 – 15 hours a week. $20/hour.

　　• Research and create content for news stories related to company sustainability efforts

　　• Create and maintain a database of regional media outlets

　　• Create and submit press releases for newsworthy activities

　　• Produce a monthly compilation of stories for internal distribution

　　Basic requirements: Journalism/Communications/Writing Majors (preferred)

　　Needed Knowledge and Skills : Familiarity with press release formats

　　Work environment: The position is 100% remote.
