Description
We are in search of a CFO/Controller to join our team in the industry at our Albuquerque, New Mexico location. As a Controller, your primary role involves managing all aspects of accounting and financial management, including regulatory compliance and team leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to exercise your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
• Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Protecting assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
• Maximizing return and limiting risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.
• Preparing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
• Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
• Maintaining detail oriented and technical knowledge
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance but prefer Master degree
• CPA license preferred
• Must possess a minimum of 7+years of experience in a Controller role or similar.
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.
• Must be familiar with ADP - Financial Services.
• Must be well-versed in Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Familiarity with Auditing processes is expected.
• Must be proficient in managing Budget Processes.
