GWBI is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to use computer numerically controlled machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions such as operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functionPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesPrepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specificationsSet machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of partsSupervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultInspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionalityRequirements and Skills:
Proven experience as CNC operator with 2-3 years experience with Horizontal Boring Mills, CNC Lathes.Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsComputer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAMMechanical aptitude and good math skillsAbility to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.A keen eye for detail and results-driven approachGood communication abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plusFamiliarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.GWBI offers a comprehensive compensation package, to include:
