Drive value for Philips by providing clinical science insights and expertise across key Idea to Market processes, from co-creation and discovery, through clinical research, through proposition roadmaps, to evidence creation support. Shapes and drives research programs in collaboration with academic and other partners. Also contributes via deep subject matter expertise to building credibility of Philips in the market, in collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders and supporting cross-functional teams to launch and beyond.

　　Your role:

　　As part of the DXR Modality, you will have the opportunity to work with world class engineers who develop products that help save lives all over the world. The DXR (Diagnostic X-ray Imaging ) identifies and meets customer and market needs by designing, developing, X-ray Imaging Equipment

　　You will work with Clinical Scientist in DXR Hamburg on on-going projects, travel to US/Europe on need basis for Hospital relationship management

　　Closely work with regulatory affairs, clinical affairs, R&D to drive work as PI for targeted clinical studies with Government and University Hospitals (study charter, design of experiment, MoUs with concerned parties with legal due diligence)

　　Continuously survey, compile and communicate new ideas from clinical research (journals, conferences, shows, competitive benchmarking) and create hopper of technology- & market-driven ideas for advanced / concept development work

　　Guide and execute clinical research projects per plan

　　Identify and connect new customer needs, solutions and technologies to initiate new methods (or disruptive enabling technologies) of diagnosis, and/or care within domain

　　Initiate and drive co-creation and discovery in line with overall strategy and roadmap, including: early ideation; shaping funnel of ideas and research projects with clinical and research partners; clinical research collaboration; creating and evaluating clinical prototypes; contributing to shaping of overall innovation roadmaps

　　Provide thought leadership in alignment with overall strategy, including supporting marketing strategies with key insights/trends, supporting market shaping and conditioning through publications, identifying and developing next generation Key Opinion Leadership by working with new partners

　　Drive the execution of evidence creation in coordination with Clinical Affairs, including strategizing, identifying, setting up and executing clinical collaborations and studies

　　Provide key insights on the way of working and decision process of the clinical customer, specifically regarding the incorporation of new methods and technological innovations and solutions.

　　Contributing to the shaping of overall innovation roadmaps/strategies via insights, identifying new development and technology in academia and/or SMEs

　　Prepare internal and external scientific presentations, research manuscripts and review articles, as required

　　Provide sound scientific and technical advice during product testing phase

　　Design, develop, maintain clinical database and analyze clinical data

　　Assist with design, development, implementation, instructions and evaluation of device training programs

　　Assist engineering team by providing input during risk management assessment process which includes product safety and usability from clinical perspective

　　Support product validation activities including troubleshooting and analysis of data concluding root cause of failures

　　Quality of innovation roadmap and EXPL/AD process via inclusion of clinical science insights (at relevant steps)

　　Able to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders from various internal and external functions to ensure intended goals are accomplished in timely manner

　　Representing Philips at conferences and professional bodies, and establishing a global network of contacts in the scientific DXR community

　　Deliver product training to the clinical users

　　Conduct clinical validation activities at the customer sites

　　Support clinical workflow related to patient treatments

　　Troubleshoots product issues

　　Escalate product complaints according to the Quality Management System

　　You're the right fit if:

　　Master’s degree in related discipline like Biomedical Engineering. With 14+ years of experience

　　PhD in Diagnostic X-ray or related areas

　　Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical environment or medical devices industries, with specific experience and expertise in Radiology and imaging technology

　　Knowledge on Regulations in Clinical Domain

　　Strong Communication and Presentation skills: Ability to present technical data/concepts concisely and effectively to various audiences/stakeholders

　　Detailed/ Structured documentation practices and decision making

　　Functional competencies: Analytical/Fact Based/Logical problem solver

　　Knowledge of embedded systems and digital control theory

　　Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
