  THE WORK YOU WILL DO:

  The Chemical Operator is an entry level position who performs basic blending and packaging of chemical products. To perform this job successfully, a candidate must:

  Be able to meet physical demands outlined below (some lifting to 50 lbs.)

  Work in a wet environment, capable of wearing full personal protective gear

  Assist in the unloading of truckloads of empty drums

  Unload hazardous bulk liquids into storage tanks from tanker trucks and railcars

  Interface with a PLC control system to control and monitor the blending of raw materials into finished products

  Operate forklifts to move drums and totes of liquid product from the packaging stations to the warehouse intake area and bulk bags from the warehouse to the operating area

  Position and discharge bulk solids into process equipment

  Package chemical products into totes and drums and prepare them for shipment with proper labels and batch documentation

  Obtain and label process samples for review in the laboratory

  Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation

  Participate in Safe Work/Hot Work/Lock-out Tag-out procedures on equipment in preparation for maintenance activities

  Execute emergency procedures in response to chemical incidents, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the plant site

  Monitor the premises after-hours via surveillance cameras located around the property as assigned

  Maintain the cleanliness of the operating area in keeping with PSSI and food-contact standards

  Other job duties as assigned by leadership

  WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  · High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

  Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

  OUR ENVIRONMENT:

  This position works in a chemical blending facility and requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”), such as plastic bibs, jacket, gloves, face mask, respirators, and rubber boots, which will be supplied by the company. The position will be exposed to elements such as noise, standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting. Note that use of a respirator requires the Chemical Operator to be clean shaven.
