The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, InpatientAdult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and OutpatientBehavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a newprogram offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patientswith substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS(Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance TreatmentServices) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of thebonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.- Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024- Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $2,500 by December 2024
Job Summary
The Charge Nurse, with minimal direction, supervises nursing and supportstaff in an inpatient unit, specialty clinic, or treatment programs invarious patient care settings.
The Charge Nurse, adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA)standards of professional nursing and performance, and the ANA Code ofEthics (2015) to provide care to all patients. Applies criticalthinking, evidence-based policies, procedures, guidelines and competenceto collaborate with the health care team to promote excellence in patientsafety and quality outcomes. If you are hired on as a Registered Nurse (RN) at >0.6 FTE to InpatientAdolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric EmergencyServices, CARES, or Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, you will beeligible for a new program which offers a cash Incentive to recognize yourwork treating patients with substance use disorders.Nurses may earn up to$7,500 by December 2024 with 50% of the bonus received 90 days aftersigning the program contract.
Essential Functions:
Operations Management (40%)Oversee department/unit for assigned shift employing clinical and managerialskills to care for patients while also providing guidance and leadership toother nurses who are working with patients including but not limited topreparing daily staffing assignments, mentoring staff, evaluatingperformance, facilitating patient flow, admissions, and discharges.
Patient Assessment (20%)Assess the needs of individuals, families and/or communities to identifypotential health or safety problems, Instruct individuals and families onhealth education and disease prevention and after care.
Treatment and Evaluation (20%)Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan,implement and evaluate patient care. Monitor all aspects of patient care,including diet and physical activity, develop and modify patient care plansas indicated by patient's responses and conditions. Prepare patients for,and assist with examinations and treatments.Medication administration, documentation and reassessment (10%)Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient's condition andvital signs (10%)
Education:Associate's Degree Required
Work Experience:
1-3 years Professional nursing experience in a patient care setting. Required
Licenses:RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
