This Position is for a C&D Technician with a company located in Laurel.
Job Summary: This position works out of the C&D Department and assists the C & D Supervisor in the operation and administration for the C&D Department; completing timesheets, filing, getting quotes, ordering supplies, tracking work orders, JSAs, data entry and maintain data base for
maintenance systems, and an inventory system. Check on jobs in the field and report progress and deliver parts to the field crews if needed.
Duties and Responsibilities: Directly assists the C & D Supervisor with various duties. Completes administrative functions for the department, including time sheets, tracking Work Orders; (open, issued completed).
Closes out work orders. Tracking overtime. Weekly Status Reports. Maintain filing system. Monthly C & D report for the Monthly Client Report. Daily tracking of Fleet and equipment. Work with Contractors and Engineers on projects and reports. Solicits for bids. Tracks Pure Safety for the Dept. Answers Customer complaints and concerns. Prepares packages for City approval to replace lines. Maintains Inventory System for the C&D Dept. Other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor.
Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent desired. Must possess knowledge at least equal to a C&D Tech IV Crew Leader to fulfill the requirements of this job. Knowledge of Sewer Camera Truck systems including use of cameras and computer system and the ability to train others. Strong aptitude for planning, organizing, scheduling. Ability to develop, organize, and manage records and files. Strong desire to establish and maintain effective working relationships, teams, and work groups with other employees, the Client and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to shift priorities frequently and effectively perform under pressure. Thorough knowledge and the ability to use computers and applications for the utility profession.
