The College includes Academic Programs, the CAHNRS Office of Research (COR), and WSU Extension.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.• Proven record of successfully managing teams, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Preferred Qualifications:• Three (3) years experience with grants administration including pre and post award processing.• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently.• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present relevant training.Job Duties:Supervision | 40%• Assign workloads• Problem solve issues• Prepare performance evaluations• Train and mentor staff in grant administration• Motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and supportGrant Proposals/Awards | 25%• Conduct and/or supervise the review of proposals and awards• Interpret and insure compliance with sponsor, University and federal rules and regulations• Approve budgets and prepare proposal paperwork as needed• Advise grant administration staff in successful completion of proposal paperwork• Review and approve applications for extramural support (eREX) on behalf of the College in coordination with the Associate Deans• Process awards to ORSO with comments on areas of further negotiation• Advise Associate Deans of proposal or award issues or areas of risk• Review and approve other grant paperwork as appropriate.Supervise proposal preparation and budget approval• Supervise applications for extramural support (eREX)• Coordinate award and subcontract paperwork as appropriate• Coordinate review and approval of subcontract invoices• Manage overdrafts, revenue, cash advances, guarantees and make corrections as needed• Advise faculty and staff on allowable expenditures• Manage cost share and effort certification• Coordinate Post-award paperwork as neededTraining, Support and Customer Service | 15%• Lead, at least quarterly, a grants forum for all staff within the College involved with grants; develop training materials and coordinate and/or deliver trainings• Provide advice and support to College grant staff, departmental and Research and Extension Centers, and staff in the grant administration center on best practices, interpretations of policies/instructions, allowable expenditures etc.• Co-lead monthly grant administration and user group meetings, and quarterly meetings with Chairs and DirectorsPolicies/Proced
