  Description of Job

  The salary for this position is:

  $23.27 - $34.03 Hourly

  $1,861.38 - $2,722.62 Biweekly

  $4,033.00 - $5,899.00 Monthly

  $48,396.00 - $70,788.00 Annually

  While a salary range is posted for this position, an eventual salary offer is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis, which considers multiple factors including but not limited to education and experience compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work.

  Colorado Workforce Rural Consortium exists to ensure every Colorado business has access to a skilled workforce and every Coloradan has access to meaningful employment, resulting in statewide economic vitality. This is accomplished by planning, budgeting and implementing the programs funded under the Workforce Investment Act (WIOA), Wagner-Peyser, Trade Adjustment Act (TAA), and grants in the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium (CRWC). It provides employment services including labor exchange; and referral of applicants to job openings and placement assistance and addresses employability barriers, delivers quality customer service to program candidates, businesses, and the community. The unit fosters partnerships with educational institutions and other community organizations to provide a network of support services to ensure Colorado has a qualified and relevant workforce.

  This position exists to foster business-focused workforce partnerships, effectively preparing rural Coloradans for the jobs of today and tomorrow by delivering a comprehensive array of employment and training services. Works with business customers to achieve their employment goals, and provides customer service to the business community. In addition, this position exists to identify and assist businesses with hiring, recruitment and retention. Position interprets federal regulations and state program guidance, policies, and procedures. Position is also responsible to provide outreach, hiring events, career fairs and business information.

  This position is required to travel around and throughout southwestern Colorado (which could include La Plata, Montezuma, Archuleta, Dolores, San Juan, Montrose, Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, San Miguel and Ouray counties). The main office location will be in Durango, CO.

  Substitutions:

  Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  Education and Experience:

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.

  AND

  Six months of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include a combination of community and business outreach, event coordination, and/or strong customer engagement.
