  We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with specialized expertise in battery systems to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and continuously improving our battery manufacturing processes. Your extensive knowledge of battery technologies, production methods, and quality assurance will be essential in ensuring our battery systems' efficiency, reliability, and safety.

  Primary responsibilities in descending order for this position include:

  Battery Manufacturing Process Design: Collaborate with R&D teams to develop manufacturing processes for new battery technologies, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry standards.

  Process Optimization: Analyze existing battery manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, yield, and quality.

  Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the battery manufacturing process, conducting thorough testing and inspection to maintain consistent product quality.

  Equipment Selection and Installation: Identify appropriate manufacturing equipment and machinery for battery production, overseeing installation, and commissioning processes.

  Material Selection and Supplier Management: Work closely with the procurement team to select suitable materials for battery assembly and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality components.

  Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in battery manufacturing, prioritizing the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe work environment.

  Data Analysis: Analyze production data, performance metrics, and yield rates to identify trends, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions for process improvements.

  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain detailed SOPs for battery manufacturing processes, providing clear instructions to production operators.

  Training and Support: Train production operators on new processes, equipment, and quality control measures, providing ongoing support to ensure efficient and accurate production.

  Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery technologies, manufacturing techniques, and industry trends to drive innovation and competitiveness.

  Education Requirements (special training, college degree, etc.)

  Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  Advanced degrees or additional certifications in battery technology are highly desirable.

  Extensive experience in the field will be considered in lieu of a degree

  Experience & Skills

  Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and 2-3 years in fields related to battery system assembly. This could be high-voltage traction or low-voltage Lithium-based manufacturing. Extensive lead-acid experience would be considered.

  Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in battery production or related fields, with a strong understanding of assembly processes and automation.

  Process Engineering: Proficiency in process engineering principles, including process design, optimization, and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.

  Quality Management: Knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control, and Six Sigma principles to maintain high product quality.

  CAD and Simulation Tools: Experience with CAD software and simulation tools to aid in process design and validation.

  Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges in battery manufacturing.

  Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and management.

  Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project milestones.

  Work Environment (travel, shift, lifting requirements, hazardous conditions, etc.)

  Periodic travel required to support Navico Group strategic goals (Less than 10%)

  Flexibility to support launch and production schedules

  Occasional split shift or weekend support
