  BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

  Assist in the maintenance and repair of turf equipment fleet including mowers, tractors, skid steer loaders, sprayers, handheld equipment, etc. Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs.

  CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Greases parts, checks and fills fluids

  Inspects, repairs and replaces tires

  Preforms minor repairs / replaces parts and components

  Washes equipment

  Fuels equipment

  Changes oil and filters

  Cleans shop and equipment storage areas

  Takes out trash and recyclables

  Pick up parts and supplies locally

  Inventories parts

  Picks-up and delivers carts to on-campus users

  Maintains service and inventory records

  SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

  General supervision is received from Athletics Grounds Supervisor.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  Experience operating/driving motor vehicles and/or mobile turf equipment (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, etc.)

  Basic knowledge in the use of power and hand tools

  Ability to safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, fuels and oils

  Ability to maintain accurate records

  Ability to work in adverse conditions such as extreme weather and around fumes, noise, dust and dirt

  A valid driver's license and meet and maintain the University Fleet Safety Program driving standard is preferred

  SALARY:

  $11/hour

  WORK HOURS: Hours are dependent on need up to 20 hours/week.
