　　Job Overview

　　The Associate Quality Inspector can utilize existing inspection procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to inspection and quality.

　　Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

　　Review and become familiar with Project drawing, NDT drawing, ITP, QC procedures, method statements / work Instruction and Project specifications

　　Perform shop and field / assembly area Inspections of fit-up and welding in accordance with project WP, specification and scope as noted in the ITP.

　　Perform surveillance inspection and QC activities on site as per QC procedures and frequency noted in ITP

　　Compile and collate relevant data and related to QC activities, including recording of objectives evidence, ensuring all records / verifying documents in ITP and associated QC procedures are generated correctly and accurately

　　Conducting business & performing duties in accordance to McDermott’s " Code of Business Conduct" and any other governing of the company.

　　Ensure welder qualification are up to date and welder register is posted on WPS board

　　Monitor welding and ensure welders are following approved WPS’s they are working to / certified for.

　　Perform daily surveillances of shop and field welding activities. Perform in-process and final welding inspections

　　Daily check on welding consumable handling and ensuring latest revision of consumable handling procedure is in place and being implemented correctly

　　Highlight any discrepancies or nonconformance of work/product that deviate to project requirement/project procedure/specification.

　　Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirement required for the work such as ANSI/ASME B.31.3, B31.4, B.31.8, ASME BPVC Sec V & IX, AWS D1.1

　　Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through independent inspections, daily surveillances, and tests by the Project Quality Plan

　　Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution

　　Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in appraising product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance to the approved drawings and inspection & test plan

　　All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action

　　Assist the Senior Quality Inspector /Quality Inspector in coordinating the interface with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing, personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications

　　Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in performing field inspections by project specifications and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan/ITPs

　　Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in confirming adherence to applicable procedures and plans by effective audit and surveillance

　　Essential Qualifications and Education:

　　AWS or CSWIP 3.1 minimum, preferably CSWIP 3.2

　　Min 8 years general welding and QC inspection

　　Minimum Senior High School graduate or possess relevant experience. Technical qualification or degree preferred

　　Knowledge of NDT processes

　　Knowledge of materials

　　Fabrication yard / fabrication shop experience preferred

　　8+ years in Relevant industry with coordination experience

　　Minimum Senior High School graduate or possess relevant experience

　　High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study

　　2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection

　　Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
