Description
The Associate Director, Patient Data Governance - MDM (Master Data Management) provides deep expertise in the area of patient and consumer identity management.
The role has primary responsibility for defining how identity data is managed, inclusive of data models and best practices for appropriate use.
Leads the day-to-day data stewardship team operation. Determines processes and procedures and monitors overall data quality and identifies and executes on action plans to improve quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides patient master data management expertise and leads the business operations process for identity management.
Leads and manages the Data Stewardship team (outside services).
Defines data models and identifies business requirements, business rules and quality criteria for patient identity management and master data management.
Determines data match, merge rules and data quality measures and provides recommendations to Information Management leadership on business rules for patient MDM.
Liase with Data Privacy to understand data privacy requirements and collaborates with Brand and Patient Services to interpret and translate business needs into data governance requirements and data management needed to support patient/consumer interactions.
Conducts periodic data quality audits and manages overall process for de-duplication and cleansing. Reviews data quality reports and communicates status to Information Management leadership.
Oversees the business implementation, process integration, and maintenance of the MDM platform. Accountable for training and communication related to MDM and supporting technology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and seven (7) years of analytic or reporting experience with relevant data sources and analytical methodologies; Or
Master's degree from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience with relevant data sources and analytical methodologies.
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in managing vendors.
Data processing experience.
Information architecture or business architecture experience.
Experience in understanding customer needs, incorporating in deliverable, and ensuring recommendations/results and implemented.
Experience in coordinating insights from disparate functions and sources, into a comprehensive and insightful analysis and reporting solutions and/or recommendation.
Strong interpersonal abilities, can manage multiple projects at the same time.
Proficiency in the development, planning and communication of analysis and reporting plans.
Familiarity with data processes methodologies including SQL, SAS, R, ODL and reporting technologies (e.g., Tableau).
Expertise in pharmaceutical sales data, payer data, claims data, data processing, modeling, visualizations.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:
• 2+ years of HCP or consumer or patient data experience in pharmaceutical environments.
• Prior data governance experience strongly preferred.
Compensation Data
This position offers a base salary typically between $135,000 and $232,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.
