  Job Description

  AECOM is seeking to hire an Associate Director Environment Due Diligence (EDD) s pecialist to lead the UK and Ireland EDD Team which is part of the Environmental, Health and Safety discipline.

  As our Associate Director Environment Due Diligence (EDD) , you will be expected to develop strategy to accelerate growth of EDD delivery, collaborating extensively with the environmental and technical due diligence teams globally, providing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in the context of due diligence.

  This role will suit someone who has specialized in environmental due diligence with a strong reputation and experience directly with clients for most of their professional career. The candidate selected will be given the support and opportunity to lead, grow and further develop these services within AECOM for our clients.

  Key focus areas:

  Strategize for market growth in the UK, Ireland, and the wider EMEA region, collaborating with global teams to offer seamless environmental due diligence.

  Lead the UK and Ireland for the Global EDD Technical Practice Group, focusing on technical excellence and innovation, including integrating ESG and sustainable finance into our offerings.

  Work with disciplines like property and site selection due diligence, and international project finance teams to expand the integrated due diligence market.

  Develop and support key client accounts, analyze markets for potential clients, and assist in new client strategy formulation.

  Share responsibility for the success of the due diligence practice, covering technical, commercial, and best practice aspects.

  Oversee due diligence commissions, managing both technical and commercial elements, often with multi-geographical teams.

  Promote industry best practices in EDD, improving our deliverables and advisory services.

  Collaborate with AECOM’s broader business for continuous improvement in EDD, including digital delivery and ESG standards.

  Lead and manage our due diligence professionals in the UK and Ireland.

  Develop and manage client relationships, focusing on business growth and expanding our client base.

  Candidate Profile:

  Extensive experience in EDD across various sectors, especially equity, commercial, technology, and industrial.

  Established network of client contacts.

  Proven leadership in delivering EDD programs and portfolios.

  Solid experience in ESG implementation in EDD.

  Skilled in bidding, winning, and delivering EDD for both individual and portfolio assets.

  Experienced in team leadership and career development support.

  Proficient in developing and executing EDD strategies, with a keen interest in digital innovation.

  Familiar with multi-disciplinary teamwork, project management, and client relationship management.

  Ability to foster meaningful dialogues across various platforms, with an understanding of new technologies and legislation.

  Experienced in financial management of EDD projects.

  Qualifications

  A relevant degree, such as in Environmental Science or Engineering.
