Position Summary
The Associate Bursar will work directly with the Assistant Bursar to ensure the accuracy of all student general ledgers. This role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the student information system used for student billing and invoices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ledger review, fee and adjustment posting, refund processing, and collection of tuition and fee payments.

Intermediate (proficient) use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Knowledge of and willingness to learn and work with technology, such as database management etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, graphs is an added bonus.
Entry Level Accounting (basic as described above) is required in order to be considered.
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to provide customer service in a courteous, prompt and successful manner and handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance
1-2 Years Experience working in Accounting
2 Years Experience working with Excel
Knowledge of Cash Receipts, A/R and basic accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
Ability to analyze and manipulate large sets of data
Must be able to keep certain financial and employee information confidential
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Must work well independently, within a team, on multiple projects, and within a fast-paced environment
This position is required to attend new employee orientation in person in Salt Lake City, Utah. All travel and lodging accommodations will be paid for by the organization.
