Administrative Assistant I - Enrollment Management Duties andResponsibilities: Provide switchboard services, including timelyresponses to calls to the operator and the college's 800 line andEnrollment Communications voice mail, providing all callers with highquality, friendly, accurate, and efficient service and collegeinformation, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Provide staff coverage for otherdepartments, including admissions, student information center, andenrollment management. Possess full knowledge of Student InformationCenter roles and responsibilities to provide coverage as needed. Respondto student problems and requests, resolving issues concerningenrollment, retention, withdrawal, and transfer procedures wherepossible, referring callers to other appropriate personnel as necessary,maintaining a liaison with and following up with faculty, advisors,personal counselors, Admissions Office, Student Accounts Office, HealthServices, Information Technologies, Enrollment Management Services,Student Information Centers, Student Activities, Financial Aid,Community Service department, and Divisional support staff to ensureproblems have been addressed and resolved. Maintain knowledge ofacademic curricular programs and in-depth knowledge of the admissionsprocesses relating to selective programs; explain entrance requirementsfor international students, and selective programs, including placementtesting, course prerequisites, and transfer credit. Electronically scanstudent documents to Etrieve for the admissions office staff. Interviewprospective students to add information to the prospective studentdatabase in the College's CRM System. Assist parents of students andexplain the rights and procedures with regard to the Family EducationRights and Privacy Act. Verify student enrollment/graduation informationto outside entities in accordance with established procedures. Respondto the designated college emergency line, deploying the calls to 911 orto MCC security. Provide information to students, faculty, and staffrelating to enrollment services or other college matters via Avaya IPsoftware, email, BANNER student information system, Navigate, MCCPortal, MCC Directory, MiddleNet, Microsoft Access, and DegreeWorks.Confer with the Registrar on matters of policy and procedures forcomplicated situations. Respond to subpoenas and custodial ornon-custodial requests for information concerning confidential studentrecords. Register students for credit and non-credit courses, verifyingappropriate prerequisites, and schedule enrollment, registration,self-assessment, and advising appointments using Navigate system.Process add/drop, withdrawals, address changes, program changes, andname changes. Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) two yearsof full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management,office administration, business administration or business management,the major duties of which included one or more of the followingfunctions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting,records management, work simplification, grants management, contractadministration or program management, (B) any equivalent combination ofthe required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I.An Associate's or higher degree with a major in businessadministration, business management, or public administration may besubstituted for the required experience.* II.
