Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
Reports directly to the Director of Treasury Management.
• Performs routine and complex accounting activities requiring knowledge of financial systems,
independent judgment, and ability to respond accordingly. Oversees activities on various accounts. Assists with audits. Conceptualizes projects and follows through.
• Actively involved in managing the institutions debt portfolio and structuring of new
debt.
• Performs Accounting for schools Endowment Fund, Cash, Investments, and other Cash
Equivalents.
• Maintain and manage accounting and reporting of endowment fund.
• Responsible for day-to-day cash related activities for the school through the monitoring of
daily cash position and movement of funds, reporting, reconciliation and problem resolution.
• Responsible for Daily reconciliation and of Bank and Suspense accounts and posting of incoming and outgoing transactions.
• Responsible to ensure transactions are performed accurately and timely in accordance to
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (i.e., GAAP ).
• The position will maintain a cash aging to ensure cash is applied timely and accurately to
appropriate accounts.
• The position will assist with activities related to internal and external collections to reduce
account receivable balance.
• Provide monthly status reports of department activities to Director of Treasury
• Participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior leadership
and external agencies.
• Assist in the implementation and management of financial systems, cost accounting systems and/or
financial policies and procedures as appropriate.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure proper accounting in accordance with GAAP .
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
