  Position Details:

  Produce positive sales growth for specific geography or vertical through strategic sales activities. This position reports to the District Sales Manager.

  You Will:

  Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needsDemonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's businessOversee support of managed inventory tasks to guide greater understanding of the customers, increase contacts within the customer group and increase sales resultsLeverage Grainger's Value Proposition to provide solutions to grow profitable salesDevelop account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for essential customers to maximize salesCapture activity data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)Meet or exceed sales plan

  You Have:

  3+ years of direct outside sales experienceSales forecasting opportunity management and customer planningTravel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed, with occasional overnight visitsProcess discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenueAbility to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutionsHigh School diploma, GED or 2-4 year degree
