General Summary:
Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Job Function
Software test engineer position within Compute Application Processor Test group. In this role the candidate will be a key team member for Windows on Snapdragon platform performance test and optimization
Responsibilities
Developing, maintaining, and improving performance test plan, case, and metrics for Qualcomm compute product lines, scope includes but not limited to benchmarking, and key user scenarios experience.
Triaging and analyzing issues from both HW & Windows perspective, including CPU/GPU architecture, memory hierarchy, Windows system configurations and ecosystem…etc.
Developing and optimizing automation test to improve efficiency.
Collaborating with other platform/ functional area engineers and stakeholders to drive platform performance optimization for compute products.
Requirements :
0-3 years system test/develop experience on Windows products.
Master of automation test development with Python/Java/C/C++…
Master of Windows performance analysis and optimization based on ETW log, performance tools (Windows performance toolkit, Xperf…etc.), x86/ ARM architecture, Windows computer organization and application frameworks. Experience of Windows on ARM is a good plus.
Having experience with managing or coordinating across multiple functional teams and sites is a good plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English
