What We're Looking For

Join a growing team of engineers and planners providing traffic management plan (TMP) services in work zones around SE Wisconsin. Our team provides TMP services by planning for upcoming work zone traffic impacts, managing traffic operations in and around work zones, and coordinating emergency response to and through the work zone.

The Work Zone Traffic Engineer performs tasks such as reviewing traffic stage plans, performing drive-through work zone reviews, coordinating directly with project staff and contractors, communicating with area stakeholders and public information staff, and data reporting on assigned project(s).

This role is primarily on-site at construction field offices with some remote opportunities.

What You'll Do:

Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.

Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.

Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.

Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.

Supports engineering teams with various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.

Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in EngineeringWhat You'll Bring:

The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to read project plan sets

A good driving record, regular access to a vehicle, and comfortability in freeway driving.

What We Prefer:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Planning

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

Working knowledge of MUTCD and WisDOT's FDM TEOpS
