  Job Summary

  Responsible for participating as a technical expert in the design, development, and implementation of wireless communication algorithms and solutions. Using deep understanding of wireless communication networks and prior embedded software development experience, will develop measures to assess the health of our customer's WiFi environment and identify corrective actions to improve the WiFi experience. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams.

  Core Responsibilities

  Collaborate closely with a diverse team of engineers to design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art wireless communication algorithms and solutions.

  Utilize your deep understanding of WiFi protocols, including 802.11x, to drive improvements in performance, throughput, and reliability for our wireless networks.

  Employ your strong data analysis background to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, identifying patterns and trends to optimize wireless network performance. A data science background would be a valuable plus.

  Contribute to the development of embedded software for wireless communication systems, ensuring seamless integration with our innovative hardware components.

  Stay at the forefront of emerging wireless technologies and industry trends, providing valuable insights and recommendations for future enhancements to our wireless solutions.

  Collaborate cross-functionally with software developers, hardware engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality and innovative wireless solutions.

  Provides functional, team and program leadership on a regular basis on multiple projects, spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization. Takes the lead on developing new principles and concepts.

  Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in wireless communications or a related field. Advanced degrees are highly desirable.

  Proven work experience involving the design and implementation of wireless communications algorithms, demonstrating a track record of successful projects and tangible outcomes.

  Strong understanding of WiFi protocols and standards, including 802.11x, with a focus on optimizing wireless network performance.

  Proficiency in embedded software development, encompassing firmware development, debugging, and optimization for wireless communication systems.

  Robust background in data analysis, utilizing statistical modeling and visualization techniques to derive actionable insights. Experience in data science is a significant advantage.

  Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues in wireless communication systems.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and presentation of ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Education

  Bachelor's Degree

  While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

  Relevant Work Experience
