　　Job Summary:

　　The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Welder Technician for its 2nd shift operations (M-F, 3:00P to 11:30P).Key Responsibilities:

　　This position entails operating TIG weld equipment in manual and automatic configurations for welding case parts and material for the aerospace industry.

　　This position also entails blending, smoothing, and deburring surface operations on aerospace case parts as outlined in the work instructions to meet customer requirements.

　　Set-up and operate TIG welding machines.

　　Prepare parts for welding.

　　Maintain machine set-up information.

　　Weld parts to specifications as outlined in work instructions.

　　Inspect parts before and after welding.

　　Prepare parts for welding and/or machining by blending and deburring parts to written specifications.

　　Set-up and operate machines including a selection of appropriate abrasive belt, wheel, or disk for blending and deburring.

　　Inspect work on parts to verify conformance with these specifications.

　　Complete required paperwork associated with work and work instructions.

　　Maintain internal weld certifications.

　　Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment.

　　Maintain a clean work environment.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED equivalent

　　Experience with TIG welding and bench mechanic operations

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Technical trade school / certifications preferred

　　Ability to pass standard weld certifications internally

　　Related experience preferred

　　Additional Information:

　　Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

　　Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
