The welder position is responsible for following dailyor weekly work directions from team leads/supervisors, following allsafety protocols and keeping materials flowing in the plant. Theposition requires a highly-motivated individual with good work ethic whois willing to be hands-on and flexible to meet the needs of ourcustomers. Responsibilities Aluminum Welder Responsibilities: Weldcomponents in flat, vertical, or overhead positions utilizing eitherGMAW or GTAW. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt componentparts to obtain required configurations and positions for weldingPrepare all material surfaces to be welded in accordance withcleanliness and bevel requirements Cut aluminum extrusions to length asneeded using saws Detect faulty operation of equipment or defectivematerials and notify supervisors Examine workpieces for defects andensure conformance with specifications Recognize, set up, and operatehand and power tools common to the welding trade Chip or grind offexcess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers,portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment Analyze engineeringdrawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, andmaterial safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and...
