  Your Responsibilities

  As a Weld Manufacturing Engineer for Harvester located in Moline, IL, you will support daily weld operations by responding to tactical safety, quality, and efficiency issues by investigating, gathering, and analyzing data to identify root cause for weld issues. In addition, you will:

  Establish sequence of events, routings, pay standards, layouts, weld tooling, weldments costs, operator methods, and control plans for revisions to current operations and/or products

  Identify opportunities and implement solutions in support of achieving continuous improvement goals for safety/ergonomics, quality, and efficiency of weld operations

  Participate in annual factory capacity planning, productivity activities, and capital project planning for assigned departments

  What Skills You Need

  Working knowledge of weld processes and equipment developed through work experience or formal education in Welding Engineering

  1-3 years experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment

  Ability to support a multi-shift operation working flexible hours, including overtime as required including some weekends

  Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally with both salary and wage workforce

  Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete multiple, concurrent projects

  What Makes You Stand Out

  Experience with shop floor manufacturing and incentive pay systems such as Continuous Improvement Pay Plan (CIPP)

  Experience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc robotics welding applications

  JDAAT Admin and/or MES system authoring experience

  Experience with MPPlanner and/or other manufacturing process planning tools

  Experience with Lincoln and Miller MIG welding equipment

  Experience with developing work methods and related standards

  Experience with Engineering Change Management processes

  Experience learning and applying technology, systems, data mining and analysis tools to drive business improvements

  Education

  Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  Bachelors Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline with an emphasis on weldingWhat You'll Get
