JOB REQUIREMENTS: Buffalo Lake District is now accepting applicationsfor Harvesting Machine operators for our 2024 harvesting season. Youmust be 18 years old to operate our equipment. This is a seasonalposition. Our crew starts training and harvesting weeds in mid to lakeMay and starts full cutting operation on June 1st. We harvest weeds thruthe 1st week of September each season. Normal work week is Monday thruThursday from 7am to 3pm. 32 hours per week. An occasional Friday may benecessary if the harvester operators get chased off the lake during badweather. Movelevers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, liftbeams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load,unload, transport, or stack material. Perform routine maintenance onvehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating,recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank. Checkall load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Checkvehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment isin good working order. Collect delivery instructions from appropriatesources, verifying instructions and routes. Load or unload trucks orhelp others with loading or unloading, using special loading-relatedequipment or other equipment as necessary. Maintain logs of workinghours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable stateand federal regulations.
