Mathematica’s health web development group is seeking motivated and technically skilled individuals to join our team in our office, or remotely, for a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship (40 hours/week). In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to conduct innovative work integrating policy and program expertise into technical solutions to create products that improve public well-being.
Position Requirements:
As a Web Development Intern, you will
Contribute to full-stack web applications in service of various projectsComplete Mathematica’s course in data visualization design and D3Develop your own data visualization using a policy-relevant dataset and present it to the web development groupGain experience in our Angular, D3, .NET Core, and SQL stackLearn our best practices around version control, documentation, and testingCollaborate with cross-functional teams and experts from different disciplines (for example, public policy, sociology, and psychology) as well as fellow interns and developers to complete project goalsThe internship is designed to be fast paced and challenging. Therefore, * we recommend having, at a minimum, strong working knowledge of JavaScript* along with strong experience debugging your code. This knowledge will help maximize your ability to get the most out of our internship. In our experience, interns have struggled with this program if they did not have a strong background in JavaScript. Therefore, part of the internship interview is demonstrating this knowledge.
