Pay Range - \$76,500 - \$113,500 annually
Salary offers are based on the candidate\'s equivalent experience andinternal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

About the Position
The Water/Wastewater Engineer provides professional engineering work ofconsiderable difficulty to ensure water and wastewater treatment plantsand conveyance facilities, reclaimed water facilities, and swimming poolfacilities are planned, designed, constructed, and operated incompliance with regulatory code, and engineering design requirements toprotect public health and safety. In this role, you will routinelynetwork with representatives from municipal, county, state, professionalorganizations, and the development industry while carrying out duties.

We Require
Bachelors degree in Civil, Sanitary, Environmental, or other engineeringfield that includes course work in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, andwater and wastewater system design
Three years of engineering experience in the planning, design,construction, maintenance, inspection, operation, and/or permitting ofwater supply, distribution, and treatment facilities and wastewaterconveyance, treatment, and disposal facilities
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Arizona orshow proof of eligibility for reciprocity and obtain Arizonaregistration within six months from the date of hire.
Must possess a valid Arizona drivers license.

Job Contributions
Perform detailed technical engineering analysis of proposed water,wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure to ensure compliance withapplicable regulatory, code and engineering design requirements. Usehydrology, hydraulic, chemical, biological, soil mechanics, or othercivil and environme tal engineering standard analytical techniques andcalculations. Recommend design changes to ensure the constructedfacility or system will meet regulatory requirements and protect publichealth and safety.
Answer technical inquiries from and interact with customers (developers,engineers, applicants, owners, and consultants) to process applicationsthat require engineering expertise.
Review completed project documentation submitted by the engineer ofrecord to determine compliance with approved plans and permitstipulations. Work with the owner to resolve problems or follow up withthe enforcement division as required.
