Job Description RolePurpose Manages activities related to the receiving, storing, and/orshipping of materials or finished goods: ensures materials are receivedfrom proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and thatfinished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in atimely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchaseorders are open and the quality of materials received is correct.Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods withinventory control. Ensures materials are available to meet productionschedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules.Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Selects,develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation ofthe function. Essential Functions: Ownership and execution of safe workpractices within designated departments Coordinate communicationsregarding inbound and outbound freight with team members internal andexternal to manufacturing facility Execution of inventory managementinitiatives to promote continuous improvement initiatives to improveinventory accuracy Perform regular daily audits of key processes toensure optimum process performance. Respond to shipping and receivingissues by personally investigating and resolving such problems withhourly and salaried personnel to assure a continuing flow of product.Utilize formal problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, PDCA, etc) todiscover and eliminate root cause. Lead report-out of metrics weekly tomanagement. Support PFEP (Plan For Every Part) initiatives to ensureassurance of supply and minimize non-value-added activities. Create andcoach factory teams, assign and monitor hourly personnel in test and/orassembly areas to accomplish daily shipping and receiving output andrepair schedules to Rockwell Automation quality standards.
