  Job Description

  Basic Function

  Responsible for the execution of required shipping and receiving activities to meet customer requirements and internal measures.

  Essential FunctionsPerform various warehouse duties including, but not limited to:Pulling of product per customer requirementsPreparing pulled product for shipment to the customerProcessing inbound shipments for appropriate storageCycle counting and/or physical inventoryUse of various types of equipment in the performing of these tasks, including, but not limited to:Various types of fork lifts, including those that go up to 50ft off the groundAutomated storage and retrieval systemsAutomated warehouse management systems (WMS)Use of various computer-based programs (Bill of Ladings, small package manifest, PC type applications, mainframe type applications)Record necessary data on appropriate paperwork and/or in computer based program(s)Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance proceduresPerform all responsibilities in a safe manner observing all safety requirementsActively support the Corporate Win StrategyPerform other related responsibilitiesSee Warehouse Physical Capacity for full requirements

  High school graduate or equivalentAbility to operate various types of fork liftsAbility to use measuring devices; tape measurerRead and interpret written (English) instructionsComputer experience a plusWork 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday (daily and weekend overtime may be scheduled as necessary and could be on a voluntary or mandatory basis, based on business needs)

  Physical Demands & Work Environment

  The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally required to assist in dual lifts of up to 150 pounds with another employee. The employee will commonly lift and/or carry objects weighing 20-50 pounds. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle product, pull or push product/equipment, reach with hands and arms, occasionally be required to bend, twist, sit and stoop. Occasionally will be required to climb (stairs and/or ladders). The employee will frequently be required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally be required to operate different forklifts from heights of up to 50ft. See Warehouse Physical Capacity for full requirements.

  Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, humidity and dust. The employee will frequently work on or around moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. The employee will frequently work with deadlines under pressure and will occasionally be required to work alone.
