The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Video Editor on the Marketing Team reporting to the Sr. Manager, Brand Strategy and Communication.
Position Summary:
Responsible for creating new assets, editing existing videos and creating new ones from scratch using existing footage and stock footage as needed. You will be responsible for reviewing and assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading it to a computer. The perfect person for this job understands all the components of video production, including sound, music, visuals, and point of view. Must be able to follow a script and or outline as well as must be able to split or combine clips into cohesive units, add sound effects, graphics and supers that enhance what's being shown on-screen through music selections and visual effects plus voice-over. You will also be responsible for pulling from our raw footage, editing, and color correcting to be used as b-roll.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates high quality digital multimedia content for the brands media channels, communicating the appropriate brand voice and personality and aligned with overall brand messaging needs. Organize digital footage with video-editing software.Use computer editing software programs and tools to piece together film/video components.Edit existing videos and creating new videos for multiple platforms which requires the following: Resizing /reformattingUpdating the CALL TO ACTION on the end cardsUpdating offers and terms and conditions.Replacing footage using Celebrity owned footage or stock footage. Searching for and applying stock music as neededPulling useable footage from raw footage captured by our video team, editing, and color correcting that footage and package as B-roll for our digital asset library.The ability to splice raw film footage together from various sources and shoots and combine it with other scenes to create a cohesive story.Combine visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, and align with music. Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes, and additions appear seamless and natural.Performs other duties as required. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in film, video production or communicationsProficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro 10, After Effects, Photoshop, Light Room, Illustrator and Media Encoder.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsStrong understanding of media encoding software and codecs.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeSolid attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environment, working with Marketing and Social media team members.
