Vice President of Business Development
Role Summary
Our client seeks a Vice President of Business Development to join their rapidly growing team. The Vice President of Business Development role is a traditional hunter sales position prospecting for new business and facilitating the buying process with prospects. The ideal Vice President of Business Development has ten years of experience selling complex (multi-buyer/multi-step) service (BPO) solutions to executive-level (Procurement, Marketing, Finance) decision-makers in large companies.
Key Results Area
Effective prospecting and strategically moving through the steps of the buying process
Can identify synergies between their prospect's challenges and the company’s solutions
Can effectively position priority to defeat the status quo
Partner internally and wisely leverage all the internal resources of the company
The candidate has extensive in full cycle sales, moving to closure in a team selling environment with an average sale size of $1.5MM
Cultivate a high-performing sales team capable of driving initiatives and providing exceptional service
Provides leadership and direction of the senior sales management team to provide revenue generation and sales conversions through execution of Company model
Maintain meticulous sales reporting activities, leveraging CRM systems to track leads, opportunities, accounts, and orders
Formulate sales strategies grounded in comprehensive market research and competitor analysis
Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including parent company, Distributors, Customers, and Regional Sales Managers
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Proven track record in selling complex solutions (multi-buyer/multi-step) at the executive level (Procurement, Marketing, Finance) of large companies
Strong prospecting and needs analysis skills
Effective group presentation skills
Experience with $1.5MM and greater transaction sizes
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to build strong internal relationships
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Self-motivated, self-directed, self-driven
Comfortable and effective working remotely with limited management oversight
Experienced in a team-selling environment where they lead the team
Track record of employment tenures (5 years+)
Minimum total earnings of $150,000+
