Does that sound like you?The Opportunity with McKinstryAs the Vertical Market Business Development Manager of Local Governments, you will be responsible for developing McKinstry's local government vertical market brand and process. Also, you will support and equip our local government sellers for market success.Vertical Market Program ManagementCreate charter for the Local Government Vertical Market growth plan. Defining program scope, intent, and metrics.Develops and executes strategic and tactical business plan. Assesses and communicates Local Government market opportunities, risks, competitive positioning.Supports defining and positioning McKinstry's Local Government value proposition.Positions McKinstry's brand within identified vertical markets.Promotes all corporate offerings externally and internally.Increases the gross revenue and operating income as delineated by yearly goals for the vertical market.Build and maintain relationships within industry leaders, associations, organizations, and government entities at local, state, and national levels.Acts as McKinstry's vertical market subject matter expert. Internally, supporting sales teams in strategic account planning, strategic opportunity pursuits and positioning. Externally, supporting strategic customer meetings, interviews and conferences.Supports business unit sales policies and monitors compliance.Provides customer service support on project financing and contracting issues.Participates in monitoring and managing key business metrics.Reports identified potential business risk elements and participate in mitigation efforts.Team Management:Manages the internal consulting and collaboration processes.Support the recruitment process for vertical market focused sales staff.Support training, coaching and retention of sales leaders and local government sales staff.Oversees Local Government Strategic Accounts; leading strategy, innovation and acting as the Executive Sponsor for identified accounts.Support lead generation, sales, proposal creation and customer service delivery.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstryMust have demonstrated experience in indirectly managing diverse teams across a large geographic footprint and encompassing a broad consultative based offering set.
