  Position Summary...

  What you'll do...

  The Director of Product, Emerging Technology at Walmart International Technology is a leadership role responsible for spearheading the development and execution of innovative technology products across international markets and driving a culture of innovation across our organization. This role is central to driving the vision, strategy, design, and development of cutting-edge technologies and ensuring the alignment of product development with Walmart's global strategic goals. The successful candidate will have a passion for identifying and leveraging emerging technologies to create differentiated, customer-centric solutions.

  About Team:

  Our team drives technology within Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

  What you'll do:

  Strategic Leadership:

  Develop and lead the product strategy and roadmap for emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Identify opportunities and gaps within the market to develop new, innovative products and features. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver products that satisfy customer needs and exceed expectations.

  Product Development:

  Lead research and development, including exploring emerging technologies, conducting experiments, and prototyping new solutions. Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including market research, user analysis, design, development, and post-launch assessment. Work closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative products. Manage intellectual property, protecting IP through patents, trademarks, and copyright

  Market Analysis and Insights:

  Conduct extensive market and customer research to identify new opportunities and trends in customer and market expectations and the technology landscape. Evaluate competitive products and industry developments to inform product development and positioning strategies.

  Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders including engineers, designers, marketers, and executives to develop and refine product concepts. Communicate product vision, strategies, and progress effectively to a wide range of audiences, from team members to executive leadership.

  Performance Monitoring:

  Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and impact of the products. Use data-driven insights to refine and adjust product strategies and development as necessary. Oversee the execution of the emerging technology roadmap, ensuring these initiatives stay on track, on time, and within budget.

  Team Management and Development:

  Lead and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Support team members' professional development, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.

  What you'll bring:

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's or MBA is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing and launching technology products, preferably in a retail or e-commerce setting. Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, market dynamics, and user-centered design principles. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment. A passion for innovation and a customer-focused mindset.

  Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.   The annual salary range for this position is $112,000.00-$190,000.00

  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  - Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

  - Stock equity incentives

  Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field and 6 years' experience in product management or related field OR 8 years' experience in product management or related field. 2 years' experience building and leading high performing teams. 4 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
