As a U.S. Benefits Data Analysis and Reporting Vice President, you will be responsible for data analytics and reporting for the JPMorgan Chase medical plan and wellness program. The medical plan and wellness program is designed to meet the needs of over 150,000 U.S. employees and is recognized for its commitment to employee health and well-being.
In this role, you will work in close partnership with our healthcare team, strategy team, wellness team, and external consultants and vendors that support the benefits platform. Your goal will be to help inform the firm's healthcare strategy and drive business outcomes by reporting on the financial, clinical, and operational performance of our plans. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ, with the Benefits Design and Strategy team.
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze and report on the clinical, financial and operational performance of the JPMorgan Chase U.S. Medical Plan and Wellness Program
Work with various internal and external partners to collect, analyze and interpret data sets
Leverage medical and healthcare data sets, such as medical claims, within a data warehouse to glean insights on program / plan performance, work with plan managers to develop strategies and recommendations, and prepare PowerPoint presentations to detail insights and recommendations
Assist with scoping and preparing data to support innovation initiatives, including for Morgan Health, and respond to data requests from strategy, design and innovation teams and senior leaders
Support the scoping, refining and delivery of reporting and analytic projects, including to define and measure the effectiveness / success of strategies developed/implemented
Integrate data from multiple data sets into relevant systems for reporting and/or metric production; scope and execute projects to enhance or maintain our claims data warehouse
Document reporting and data use standards to ensure continued alignment across Benefits Design and Strategy team
Assist with participation in benchmarking surveys and wellness/benefits applications for awards
Meeting preparation with medical and pharmacy vendors (quarterly business reviews and deep dive meetings, lead weekly/bi-weekly vendor reporting calls, annual working session with medical vendors to review reporting needs)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Minimum 5 years in corporate benefits, benefits consulting or health plan/health insurance field along with data analytics background
Knowledge of benefits plans, particularly U.S. health care and insurance plans, and healthcare concepts, including program engagement, Rx, diagnosis codes, specialty types, provider TIN's
Strong analytical skills; ability to demonstrate trends in data; draw thoughtful and meaningful conclusions from that data, data visualization skills a plus
Strong data quality skills: ability to organize and check data and reports for weaknesses
Ability to efficiently leverage data warehouse capabilities, e.g. supporting data installations, building reports, scoping and creating dashboards
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; python or other programming language a plus
Ability to work in a client-focused way in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment, while producing a quality work product
Strong personal project management skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables, and meet deadlines
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to translate datasets into creative PowerPoint presentations for key stakeholders and senior management
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to non-technical business partners
Bachelor's degree required

Large firm experience (10,000 plus employees)
Experience working with self-insured health care claims data within a data warehouse
