Knapp Medical Center is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Responsibilities

Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain. 2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire. 3. Previous experience preferred. 4. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate. 5. Proficient computer skills
