UI/UX Designer

As a key member of our AvMC Application Development team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively across departments, utilizing your expertise to design, implement and mature, modernize, and reimagine applications and guide future state design of the launch of new applications and solutions. Your efforts will directly influence the design and development of applications that empower our clients' senior leadership to more effectively and efficiently execute the AvMC mission while incorporating a human centered design approach that ensure applications are optimized for users.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Present complex design work clearly and answer questions from various departments and stakeholders

　　Share design feedback and collaborate with other designers

　　Define style-guides and design interfaces to ensure consistency across the product line

　　Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders

　　Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and present a clear flow of information

　　Collaborate with teammates that may include other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions

　　Lead user feedback sessions and design research initiatives

　　Ensure designs are compliant with 508 / WCAG standards

　　Facilitate the integration of best in class design standards into new application development

　　Requirements:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Centered Design, or related field

　　8 plus years of UI/UX designing for web or digital products

　　Experience with taking complex problems and crafting solutions that are simple and engaging

　　Experience working in an agile environment on cross functional teams to support business goals

　　Experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, AdobeXD, Figma, etc.

　　Ability to interact well within a team and to understand needs of customer

　　Demonstrate strong UX, Interaction, and visual design skills along with a human-centric approach to designing products

　　Ability to shape and lead solutions to data visualization in an increasingly complex and changing technological environment

　　Strong creative portfolio demonstrating good use of typography, grid-based design, white space, and color theory

　　Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly communicate ideas

　　US DoD Security Clearance

　　Desired Qualifications:

　　Relevant UI/UX design experience on enterprise technology and cybersecurity projects or products

　　Outstanding UX and UI abilities with relevant experience with product thinking methodologies

　　You are an integrator who knows when to push boundaries, and when to work within constraints to envision, design, test and deliver cutting edge features
