The right candidate will drive growth and profitability of a within the Columbus, OH market for the Transportation Practice. You will be expected to immediately impact our firm as we seek the best methods to serve our clients and grow our geographic presence. You must exhibit a professional attitude, visionary thinking, innovative ideas, analytical problem solving and a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. A strong existing professional network will assist in meeting the job requirements.MARKET LEADER MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Serve as member of practice management team.* Responsible for all financial aspects of the market such as profit/loss, budgets and growth.* Develop near- and long-term goals and strategies for growth of the market.* Responsible for overall sales strategy and sales pipeline management in the market:* Responsible for directing assigned sales and corporate marketing team in pursuit of new clients.* Responsible for directing assigned Project Managers in growth and development of existing clients.* Achievement of market's planned sales volume considering budgeted profitability.* Lead important business development activity by maintaining healthy client relationships and developing new clients through proactive sales initiatives.* Gather feedback from existing clients and industry representatives.* Primary interface with the Practice Leader in creation of marketing and business development strategies designed to support the market's sales efforts.* Coordinate the planning and profitable execution of projects assigned to the market sector:* Responsible for directing assigned Project Managers in the overall execution of multiple projects or contracts.* Self-perform project management as appropriate / required.* Maintain PM best practices and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.* Regularly monitor the progress of active projects or tasks through project management reviews and direct/guide responsible Project Managers to take appropriate corrective actions on a timely basis.* Assist Project Managers in negotiation of proposed projects, including scope of work, terms, schedule, fees, limitations and other issues within corporate policy guidelines.* provides information to Operations Manager on future projects to manage staffing.* Actively participate in decision-making processes by evaluating and communicating the impact of operational decisions and business opportunities.* Other Duties as assigned.MARKET LEADER QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in management, marketing, sales or related field.
