　　Position Purpose:

　　Transporting patients to and from treatment areas via wheelchair, stretchers, or beds. Maintains transport equipment including O2 cylinders and regulators. Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling stretchers and wheelchairs.

　　What you will do:

　　Transport patients to and from nursing care units.

　　Maintain hospital Infection Control policies.

　　Supports the hospital Safety initiatives.

　　Use the IVR Tele – Tracking Technology properly 100% of the time.

　　Responds to Transport Trip requests within 5 minutes form dispatch.

　　Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude and appearance.

　　Identifies self when addressing patients, families, visitors, co-workers, medical professionals, and the public.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　High School or GED equivalent for regularly scheduled positions. Per Diem position incumbents must obtain similar educational requirements within 18 months of hire.

　　Must be able to push and lift heavy equipment and/or patients.

　　Ability to interact with patients as well as other Hospital employees; ability to read and write English. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices.
